Ile Maurice 2008 Grande Réserve – Édition Magnum 150 cl – 53%
Limited Magnum Edition – A Collector’s Masterpiece
Born on the sun‑drenched island of Mauritius, this 2008 Grande Réserve is more than a rum it is a story of time, patience, and craftsmanship. Distilled from pure sugarcane juice, it began its journey with 9 years of aging in French oak, including 3 years at the renowned Chamarel distillery, where the spirit slowly developed its warm, exotic character.
In December 2011, the rum was transferred into oak casks that once held Jurançon wine, a rare and deliberate choice. These casks infused the spirit with subtle vinous notes, enhancing its tropical depth and giving it a signature that cannot be replicated. This final maturation transformed the rum into a complex, expressive and deeply refined spirit.
This 150 cl Magnum is not simply a larger bottle it is a collector’s format that elevates the aging process. The greater volume allows the rum to evolve more slowly, resulting in a smoother, rounder and more harmonious profile. Connoisseurs know: a Magnum is where the magic happens.
